The Republic Uzbekistan nowadays follows the path of grain independence. Liquidation of the former state grain production system, privatization and stock issue of grain storing companies, flour mills, bake-houses has radically changed conditions and the way of supervising and expert activities of Uzgoskhlebinspektsiya.
The ongoing political, economical and social changes in Uzbekistan have defined new fundamental working directions, based on legal standards and market economy. The laws “About standardization”, “About certification”, “About protection of consumers”, “About safety and quality of food production” have been implemented in the Republic.
Paying special attention to quality of grain products, the Goskhlebinspektsiya for the first time in its existence history has been transformed into Uzgoskhlebinspektsiya attached to Ministry Cabinet in pursuance of Resolution of the Ministry Cabinet of Republic Uzbekistan № 337 of 4 November 1996.
Today the employees of the State Grain Inspection are making their contribution in providing people of Uzbekistan with high quality bread during all steps such as purchasing and storing up, processing and conservation.
Quality forms the basis of all we do. We constantly improve quality and technology of rendering services.
Uzgoskhlebinspektsiya according to its structure has a central office consisting of two departments: quality and conservation of grain and seeds department (KRIZiS) and standardization, certification and metrology department (SSiM), as well as accounts department, 13 territorial divisions located in regions and 5 Labs: the Central in Tashkent, the regional in Nukus, Andizhan, Karshi and Samarkand.
We are an accounting system organization with partial self-financing thanks to self-supporting activities. Taking into account the importance of grain quality and its products the Inspection has bought high-precision laboratory equipment which meets ISO standards and trained eminently qualified staff, who works according to local and international methods.
Uzgoskhlebinspektsiya has been accredited by “Uzstandart” Agency as an independent body for certificating seeds, grain and its products and obtaining the right for metrological testing of laboratory devices. The laboratories and metrology service have an accreditation to issue Certificates of Quality and Certificates of Correspondence on the basis of analyzing lot samples and verification reports of laboratory equipment.
Equipment of the Labs allows to perform not only physical-chemical analysis, but define baking strength of grain and seeds’ properties thanks to modern laboratory devices.
